My Dream Cat

I wish I had a cat.

The name would be ‘Bat’.

He would wear a glossy black coat

Walking like a goat.

Its tail would stand very straight like a walking stick.

If it were in danger, its ears would twitch and prick.

Its fluffy fur would be as fuzzy as a teddy bear.

I would feel warm and safe if I cuddled it with love and care.

Its blue eyes would gleam like the summer sky.

It would catch its prey like a night time spy.

I wish I could touch its shiny snout

But I do not wish it to screech and shout.

The whiskers might be tickling at the end.

Away it would run if an enemy were not its friend.
