Across the front garden, there was a high-pitched, loud scream. Startled, I jumped out of my bed, as alarmed as a frightened cat but smashed my head against the ceiling. Many horrible thoughts whizzed into my head.

As I looked out of the upper-floor window, a vague, pitch-black figure blended in with the background but its evil-glowing-crimson eyes gleamed beneath its hairy face in the dark. Its three antennae from the forehead were connected by a tube across their tips and its long, worm-liked body appeared to have two wiggly, arm-liked tentacles. An extended body trunk seemed to be bending up and out of its buttock. Shattering a ground-floor window, it reached for it with its long, gnarly fingers which stuck out razor-sharp claws. The creature hummed to itself:

Thin Body,

Scary shape.

My name is Bobby,

I need to escape.

Twisting and turning away from shards of glass through the broken window, it glided into my house gracefully like a ballerina. With a crescendo of creaking floorboards, the creature ascended the stairs with tiptoed treads. As the glaring, evil figure reached the top of the stairs, wafting out a pungent smell of manure, my heart was pounding relentlessly. I heard whistles growing louder like a kettle with boiling water on stove fire as it was approaching my room. While it was opening the door into my bedroom, I dashed behind the door to wait for a chance to flee. When the figure was looking away from my direction, I rushed to the front door downstairs. I tried to open the door, but it was locked!
